I'm back safe and sound from Arizona. The trip was fun but kind of weird. I didn't get as much painting done as I would have liked so I think we're planning another trip for me to go out there super soon to hopefully finish where I left off. It's nice to be back. I had a difficult time sleeping and was in a pretty odd place in my head. If I had the money I would go see a counselor/therapist/psychologist. I really wish I could actually.

I discovered a farmer's market this morning. I had to take a different route on my bike ride to work this morning and just happened to end up in the middle of a small market place. There weren't more than five booths but they had a decent variety of fruits and veggies as well as some great pita and hummus. If you live in Long Beach and you're interested in checking it out for yourself it's on First and Elm every Saturday from 10am to 2pm Maybe I'll see you there!

I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. I love days like today. I'm finding it hard to express how grateful I am for the people that come into my life.
My day started off with a really fun trip to Ikea with Mike. I checked online to make sure they had the dressing table I wanted, and even called to comfirm it was there, then, we got there and they didn't have it instock wouldn't let me buy it because they were using for display purposes. The weather has been insane today. I've seen pictures from other parts of Long Beach where the water is up to car doors. Apparently a tornado touched down in Seal Beach and flipped a car. Here's what I have to contribute.

What a beautiful day. My plan got a little screwy, I was supposed to get a ride with Mike but he had to work so I made plans to get a ride with someone else but they showed up an hour late... It still turned out to be a real great time. It was so wonderful seeing so many new and familiar faces. What a great opportunity to meet so many sweet people. I got pulled over on my bike today for the first time. I was riding with Mike, Jill and Danielle heading west on ocean blvd. and ran two red lights. The cop that pulled us over was not happy at all. We got off with a warning and they let us know all the things we had done wrong like not having our bikes registered and not having hand brakes. So I'm thinking about buying a hand brake. I'm not sure I'd call this a recipe. It's more of a "How-To." It's just so simple. I feel like breakfast is not complete with out some tasty potatoes. You can also throw these in a corn tortilla and have a nice little homemade potato taco or leave the cheeze out and served them with dinner.

I wake up at 8am I do one or more of the following: Sit around, talk on the phone, drink some tea, get dressed, eat something, and brush my teeth Before 9am it's time to ride my bike. Both my roommates are moving. I'm pretty sad about that. Mike's not leaving Long Beach but Jennette is. She's moving to a different state to go to a vegan culinary school. Good for her. I'm stoked. I've seen how hard she has worked while going to school for things she didn't care about so I can only imagine that once she gets started learning to do something she loves she will be an unstoppable force. Although I was unaware, Babycakes (a famous vegan bakery in NYC) opened it's newest location in Down Town Los Angeles at 10am this morning. I had no idea! Luckily, I have amazing people like Natalie (seenhere) and Hector in my life! Natalie and Hector knew what was up and drove over to LA today to get in on the fun and were sweet enough to bring two cupcakes back for me! Thank you both, they're delicious!
